Generally speaking, the moisture and impurities of grain entering the warehouse are important factors affecting the safe storage of grain. Therefore, try to improve the cleaning and dust removal process, and control the impurities in the grain below 1.0%; strictly control the moisture in the grain, generally no more than 13%. If the moisture is higher than 13.5%, it should be ventilated and cooled in time. Precipitation; timely circulation, follow the principle of first-in, first-out.

On sunny days, the grain temperature is generally the highest at 3:00 pm, but the grain temperature basically returns to its original state by 7:00 pm. The installation of the grain condition detection system provides convenient and detailed data for daily grain temperature detection management. Once the grain temperature changes, it can be properly handled. At the top of the warehouse, it is easy to condense on the grain surface. It is necessary to install an axial flow fan or an exhaust device on the top of the warehouse. Setting up mechanical ventilation devices at the bottom of the warehouse and laying ventilation ducts are effective measures for safe grain storage.

According to the introduction and inspection of the data, it is confirmed that as long as the performance requirements of grain storage on the granary are met, the management of grain storage is strengthened, and effective measures for safe grain storage are taken, the steel silo can be used as a long-term storage granary, and the safe storage period can reach 3 years. For rice and corn, it can be safely stored for more than 1 year. If the steel silo is insulated and the supporting facilities and technologies are improved as much as possible, the grain storage time will be longer. The investigation found that some steel silo users have gradually improved the grain storage management due to appropriate ventilation and cleaning measures, and the longest safe storage period of wheat has exceeded 3 years.
